The reports our clients value most aren’t the ones with the prettiest charts, they’re the ones that tell them where to look for the money. Every report we ship has a single test: can the user point at a line and say “that’s R-value, and here’s what we do about it.”
The Performance Report, three-tier balancing
For REIT and mixed-use portfolios, the Performance Report is the month-end source-of-truth. It reconciles utility data across three levels:
- The council bill, what the municipality charged at the bulk meter.
- The check meter, what was actually delivered into the site.
- The tenant meters, what was consumed downstream.
The report focuses on two values: kWh (consumption accountability) and Rand (financial recovery). Each tier is balanced, the variance is quantified, and discrepancies are surfaced as either under-recoveries (money the landlord didn’t collect) or over-recoveries (money the landlord needs to credit back).
The report ships in two views:
- Executive Summary, high-level KPIs, percentage-based metrics, and performance graphs for REIT portfolio managers and Heads of Utilities.
- Detailed Utility Breakdown, utility-by-utility, three-tier balancing for deeper investigation and operational follow-up.
Representative analytics scenarios
- Solar absorption, Single Line Diagrams trace energy flow from a large solar installation and reveal solar energy feeding into common areas the landlord was unknowingly absorbing. Quantified, recovered, fixed.
- Water-leak detection, real-time alerting flags a significant water leak early. Without continuous monitoring the loss would have kept compounding before manual reads caught it.
- Multi-source building, solar + gas + generator + council supply reconciled and load-clipping measured accurately, so the landlord could prove tariff compliance and bill tenants correctly.
Dashboards that go with the reports
All of the above is also live in the Insights portal, profile graphs, KVA reports, fault log queues, meter health checks, tariff comparison views, the lot. The same data the operations team uses to manage the site is what the property manager sees in their browser.
