Insights by Meerkat Energy is the working platform behind every utility programme we run. It exists because our own operations team needs it, which means the things it does are the things you actually use day-to-day: profile graphs that match the invoice, fault tickets the centre manager can pick up, a meter-health view that shows you which units are silent, and a mobile app the tenants pull up to check their water usage.

What’s inside

  • Energy Dashboard, top-line KPIs, daily consumption per utility, TOU stacked bars for electricity, balance and credit visibility, meter freshness, top consumers, recent events.
  • TOU Schedule, the week × hour heatmap of which TOU period applies when, plus a live “current period” chip on the dashboard.
  • Profile Graph, 30-minute or daily intervals, exportable to CSV, per-meter or per-account.
  • Tree Structure, interactive view of the site’s energy hierarchy (with the directory-list toggle for compact viewing). Backed by the same Single Line Diagrams the technical team draws.
  • Meter Health Check, at-a-glance meter status and per-meter notification subscriptions (e.g. water leak alerts on a specific meter).
  • Bills + statements, published per meter account, downloadable as PDF, with a “Understanding Your Bill” breakdown of each tariff line item.
  • IFMS Fault Logs, ticketing per site, assignment + age tracking, multi-user collaboration on a single fault.
  • STS Vending App, for prepaid clients, with top-up history and vending reports.
  • Mobile app, branded “Insights by Meerkat Energy”, iOS + Android, for tenants and field technicians (biometric unlock, push notifications).

How it sits in your stack

The platform is multi-tenant, every client has their own scoped instance with branding, tariff configurations, meter portfolios, and user permissions. Data is segregated by client. Integrations push billing flat files into landlord systems (Solar mSCOA, Venus, etc.) or pull from municipal billing systems for verification.

If you want the platform integrated with a specific ERP or property management tool, custom integrations are part of how we engage, built with our software partner network.
